I have never been a fan of winter. However, over time I’ve decided to use fashion as cold weather’s silver lining. Leather leggings are a huge advantage winter has over spring. They can elevate any outfit into an edgy ensemble.
As cool as they are, I’ve learned that not all pants in this material work well for curves. Here are a few rules I’ve picked up for us voluptuous women along the way…

1. Stick to Vegan Leather – For starters its animal friendly. It also keeps shape a lot longer than real leather, which tends to stretch overtime. Just look at how your leather shoes stretch to fit your feet faster than faux leather footwear.

2. Play around with various colors – This will keep the classic look fresh. The only thing more eye catching than leather leggings on curves are those pants in color!

3. Opt for stretchy panels vs all over leather – They provide a lot more “give” and will not tear as easily under pressure.

4. Elastic waistbands are your friends –  If you’re an hourglass or pear shaped woman, you’ll likely need your waist line a lot smaller than your hips and bum. Solving this need with a stretchy waist is ideal. Leather (and leatherette) items are not altered as easily as denim.
