NEVER JUDGE A CLUTCH BY ITS COLOR

I usually don’t order handbags online sight unseen, but when I saw this one in “Fire Engine Red” on sale at Rebecca Minkoff I just had to take the plunge. The Morning After medium sized Clutch (also called M.A.C.) is a bag I have coveted for a few seasons. Its chained straps can be worn long to sport as a cross body or doubled and carried as a handbag. Red is not a shade I usually wear and I figured it would serve as a change of pace and pop of color for my Fall/Winter wardrobe. When the bag showed up I was initially disappointed. It looked like more of a deep coral or orange than red. Since it was purchased on Final Sale, I knew I wouldn’t be able to return it. So, after barely taking it out of the box I’d immediately listed it in my Poshmark Closet.
But today I pulled this bag out for a first spin and have to say that it’s quickly grown on me. The things this bag does for neutral pieces in my wardrobe is something I just can’t ignore. It also plays well with the many Moto-inspired items I’ve purchased lately. Today I doubled up only one strap to keep a little of it’s length. I popped out of the door, slung it over my shoulder and easily strolled the afternoon away.
Happy Wednesday everyone and enjoy your long weekends!

Is it New Year’s Eve yet? Well my legs sure seem to think so. These pants are an instant party and I love how they can take any look to the next level. Here I’ve paired them with a casual high low tee and layered necklaces. They’d also boost a solid red, green or jewel toned sweater for the ultimate holiday look. I’d also recommend slapping on a white tee, black blazer and loose men’s tie for the creative office.
I can’t forget my favorite holiday New Year’s Eve. The countdown is on and this could be a major contender with a sexy fitted top, a moto jacket and sky high heels. Unlike most sequin items these bad boys are well lined giving a luxe feel to the skin. At a cost of under $75, who could possibly resist?
Happy Humpday!
