WEARABLE ART

I had the pleasure of shooting in Downtown Dallas recently! There’s nothing more energizing that being in the middle of the city and I plan to move there very soon. With all the historic buildings, architecture and bustle I wanted to celebrate by donning Raoul for wearable art!
Don’t you just love how the bold print and soft metallic undertones play up a retro silhouette? It’s Mad Men meets 2016 and I ain’t hating it!
Happy almost Friday!

I spent a little time perusing food trucks in downtown Dallas this weekend. The wafting smell of food and Klyde Warren Park strolling made 90 degree Texas weather almost bearable…almost.
The one thing that kept me sane was this fabulous off shoulder top I scored at Nordstrom for under $40! It’s flowing material fluttered in the sporadic breeze and made me feel sexy yet adorable.
What are the pretty little things keeping you cool this summer?
GOING GREEN
Jacket: Old Similar, Dress: Forever 21, Obsessed with this, Bib Necklace, Personalized Necklace: Eves Addiction, Shoes: Steve Madden here in black, similar style here, Jaguar Bracelet, Black and Gold bracelet: Forever 21, Pave Link Bracelet: Jcrew, Handbag: 3.1 Phillip Lim, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban, Earrings: Similar
I can’t rave enough about how gorgeous the days have been lately. I was so excited to skip over heavy boots in my closet for these neglected leopard sling backs and a fitted midi dress. The air is still just cool enough for a moto jacket, while the sun glistens ever so blingly on my new “Carrie” style necklace.
Hope you all are feeling the love for Valentines Day!
SKYSCRAPERS AND RED HEELS
Jacket: Similar, Skirt: Burberry Similar in Navy, Shoes: Steve Madden, Bag: Fendi I’m obsessed with this version, Ring: Very Old Similar, Lipstick: MAC Ruby Woo, Nail Lacquer: China Glaze, Belt: Anthropologie
One of my resolutions for the blog this year is to shoot outside of my bubble. Being a girl who grew up in Dallas its quite shameful that I no longer know my way around the downtown area. The one way streets, the expensive parking and crowds has made it easy to stay tucked away in the suburbs. But I am a city girl at heart so I hopped in my car and braved a bit of the unknown. The experience went easier than I could have expected. I was able to find free parking right outside of the W Hotel and crowd less streets with gorgeous buildings in the distance. I’ll definitely keep venturing out. There’s a ton to do in this city and I can’t wait to tour my own “back yard”.
Happy Sunday
FLORAL ROMPER
Romper: Corey via Rent the Runway / Necklace: TandJ Designs / Pumps: Lola Shoetique / Clutch: Clare V / Bracelet: Old, Similar Bling / Lips: MAC Ruby Woo / Ring: Etsy

I was a bit afraid to try this floral romper. Sleeveless pieces are not usually my best friend since I require a lot of “support”. However this one is carefully made with structure and non slip gel lining at the top. It totally has my back (or should I say front).
I love playfully pairing it with chunky jewelry like this T&J Designs necklace. I also can’t wait to slip it on under a structured blazer for the office. I’ll probably remix this one I wore last week.
Still not ready to fully commit? Then go ahead and can give it a trial run for only $45 with Rent the Runway! You know you want to 😉
Happy Friday Dolls!
