THE STRIPES THAT SAVED ME

If you’re anything like me, loose blouses are not usually your friend. They can do little to nothing for a curvy or hourglass figure. This is why I was over the moon when I tried on this beauty. It has that trending relaxed fit but the stripes point diagonally inward giving the top a flattering feminine look.
Rio Ritz, you’ve done it again!
What trends do you find unflattering for your frame? How have you found a way to “werk” it on your body type?

We’ve been having a really cold winter here in Dallas. Seeing snow fall and feeling temperatures drop to 20 degrees is not something us Texans are used to. I’ve spent the past couple of days bundled up on the couch with hot cocoa and Netflix. So when I noticed that we’d reach the mid 50s, I just had to explore my city.
Seeing the sun after days of dreariness always motivates me to visit unchartered parts of town. So I tossed this vintage vest over a classic polka dot sheer top, grabbed one of my besties and explored a cute little area in University Park.
What are the things you yearn to do after stretches of dreary days have ended?
FLORALS IN THE FALL
Sweater: This Season’s Version / Skirt / Clutch / Flats / Ring / Watch: Similar 25% Off / Lipstick
Florals have always been one of the top reasons that Spring is my favorite time of year.
So when designers started styling floral pieces with dark backgrounds for Fall and Winter I was oh so pleased. I can stay warm and still exude that breezy without-a-care feel. I paired a Ted Baker sweater with this flowy pleated skirt, quilted flats and a pop of my favorite color. Because every girl needs the option to frolic in flowers all year long!
Happy Thursday!
