ORANGE PLAID SHIRT
Shirt: Buy One Get One Half Off! Target / Jeans: Rag & Bone / Bag: Chanel / Ring: Saint Laurent / Earrings: Similar Hoops / Shoes: Christian Louboutin / Watch: Michael Kors / Bracelet: Old, loving this edgier Plaid Bracelet / Sunglasses: Ray-Ban / Lipstick: Ruby Woo / Nails: Deborah Lippmann
My top favorite things about fall are the edgier fashion opportunities. I love mixing classic and luxury pieces with those worthy of a 90’s Marilyn Manson concert. I’m also a big fan of oxblood nail polishes, dark skinny jeans and (coming soon as weather permits) leather leggings.
Of course in true Blingaholic fashion, I’m going to get the most out of my buck. Wearing a Chanel bag and Louboutins with this $23 shirt makes me feel like I’m in on a special little secret. Shop Target to get yours in this color. Since they’re buy one get one free go ahead and nab yourself many other shade as well. I promise not to tell. *wink

TRAIL BLAZERING IN THE BURBS
Blazer / Leggings: Old Similar / Pumps / Handbag / Earrings: Similar/ Necklace / Bracelet / Sunnies / Lips / Tank Similar

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned before, but I am a true city girl at heart. A high rise with a door man and boutiques steps away, has always been my idea of the perfect home.
This is why I was a little more than apprehensive when my husband and I fell in love with (and purchased) a house in… wait for it… the suburbs! Serious questions began to arise. Would I be too far from my friends? Would we be able to find good eats, shopping and more importantly artistic inspiration?
Instead of letting these fears continuously swirl in my head, I threw on this Haute Hippie blazer and surveyed the area. To my surprise, our new neighborhood boasts 3 expansive hubs that could rival any high end shopping mall, an amazing designer outlet center; unique little boutiques and just about every type of cuisine you can imagine. As if that isn’t enough to squash my nervousness, I’m only 20 minutes from the office (with traffic) and 30-45 from the Uptown/Downtown Dallas areas.
What fears have you overcome lately? Did you figure out a way to look and feel stylish in the process?
Hope you’re crushing your Mondays!
Feminine Plaid
I love fall and winter plaids. However, most are unfortunately not made for women with curves and small waists. They tend to overwhelm our frames and look boxy (especially if you’re busty).
I’d given up on the notion of flannels and plaids, until stumbling on this goodness at Nordstrom…
